My Disability Story

I didn’t come to live in this differently abled body through birth; it came to me slowly in my early twenties, shortly after I married the love of my life. It started with pain in my back, then in my arms, and quickly it took over the rest of my body. I had already been diagnosed with a number of health issues, but this pain was new and different. I went to my physician in tears, hoping that they would have a quick and easy fix, like a pill or treatment of some sort. I was given a low dose muscle relaxer, and a lot of comments on my weight. I felt like my pleas were getting lost in the atmosphere, but I was optimistic…
